The BCD SEARCH TCB-25 was developed in the USA under cooperation of American Rescue Divers. It was strictly observed to achieve all necessary requirements for professional applications.
Cut, materials, as well as manufacturing were made for highest claims, extraordinary burden and a quick rescue operation (visibility):
Consciously the BCD pursues a minimalist concept, since rescue divers must often have to jump off helicopter cabins in order to rescue people or to salvage out of (car-)wrecks. It is one of the largest dangers to remain hanging at parts of the helicopter or of wrecks.
That is the reason why the classic ADV-cut fits close to diver’s body without constricting him. The BCD rests closely and comfortable against the body.
According to the minimalist concept, the BCD is equipped with few D-rings only at its front. Instead the SEARCH TCB-25 offers in front and above the pockets on both sides more than 70 loops for an individual fixing of octopus, torches and other equipment - see "Personalizing".
Two D-rings in each front pocket. Optionally it is possible to fix a stainless steel re-tractor into the left or right front pocket.
In serial-production a crutch belt is attached to the BCD which results from rescue diver’s applications like jumping off helicopters. It is welcomed from all divers who are diving down headfirst. The crutch belt is removable.
The body belt „cummerbund“ is outfitted with a hook-and-loop fastener at its front. Backside it is divided for an individual adjustment of its length. For a comfort at its best each BCD is outfitted with a next larger body belt: Size S has a cummerbund in Size M, Size M has a cummerbund of Size L etc.
The body of the BCD is moveable at its belt and can be pushed to rear.
If the BCD has to be fully inflated in case of emergency, the body of it also does enlarge inwards a little bit. Here the BCD then moves to rear to avoid cramping the diver.
A solid grip is placed at the top of the robust backpack which is covered with cushion.
The tank is fixed to the SEARCH TCB-25 by 3 straps: two straps plus an additional one around the valve - see "Lead Concept".
It is possible to fix double tanks at the backpack.
