The company Seareq Safety and Rescue Equipment was founded by Karl Hansmann, graduate engineer in Electro Technology and Informatics, in 2003.

Apart from his professional competence, his long-time know-how of scuba diving plays a major part at Seareq since the core business of the young innovative company is Safety Equipment, in particular for scuba diving. This encompasses our own developments, such as the Electronic Rescue and Locating System ENOS®, as well as imported products like the BCD SEARCH TCB-25.

Our own products are developed and manufactured in Germany. Karl Hansmann knows all suppliers and subcontractors personally and chose them very carefully. Thus the high quality of our Safety and Rescue Equipment is guaranteed.

Each person in the Seareq team is a specialist in his own field, be it in radio frequency technology, GPS and navigation technology or software and hardware. Most of them are also keen of scuba divers, and they enthusiastically promote the idea of developing and manufacturing innovative products which increase safety in scuba diving.

From the beginning Seareq specialised in niche products. Meanwhile it is known as an expert in Safety Technology. Staff members of Seareq are frequently invited to give lectures at diving instructor courses and medical and safety seminars, organised by federations and tour operators: e. g. about different rescue systems for the merchant navy and water sports, their principles of functioning and their application.

Seareq will remain a specialist in Safety Technology! For all further ideas which already exist regarding new innovative products, the company will keep adhering to its philosophy of “Safety and Rescue Equipment”
